AKBER 25 “Creative Writing” with Kak Ollie Salsabeela

    Creative Writing

    START WITH WHY

    Otak kanan –> Kreatifitas

    Otak kiri –> Disiplin

    HOW TO DO THAT ?

Day 1 – Create Premise (kalimat singkat yang menjelaskan inti cerita)

Day 1 – Create Outline (Mulai – Tengah – Akhir)
Tujuan: agar tidak nyasar dalam menulis
    Day 1 – Mind Map

Day 1 – Set Target (Beri batasan waktu penyelesaian buku, misal 30 hari)

Standar proposal buku 100 halaman A4 spasi single. Bila ingin selesai dalam 30 hari, maka per hari minimal menulis 3 halaman.

    Day 2 – 28 Start Writing
Remember : Kesempurnaan adalah sebuah perjalanan

Day 2 – 28 Create a Routine (Buat rutinitas menulis, misal jam 5-8 pagi untuk menulis)

Day 2 – 28 Edit Later (lakukan editing setelah seluruh tulisan selsai kamu tulis)
tidak perlu sedikit-sedikit melakukan kesalahan terus dihapus. Biarkan tulisan mengalir apa adanya hingga selesai. Baru lakukan editing pada saat terakhir.

Day 2 – 28 Researh but not too much

Day 2 – 28 let People know your progress

    Day 29 – Proofreading & editing

    Day 30 – Send & Celebrate

    Overwhelmed ?

How to eat an elephant ?

    Jetlagged – Simple Plan Lyrics

What time is it where you are?
I miss you more than anything
I’m back at home you feel so far
Waiting for the phone to ring

It’s getting lonely living upside down
I don’t even wanna be in this town
Try to figure out the time zones making me crazy

    You say good morning
    When it’s midnight
    Going out of my head
    Alone in this bed
I wake up to your sunset
    And it’s driving me mad
    I miss you so bad
And my heart, heart, heart is so jetlagged
Heart, heart, heart is so jetlagged
Heart, heart, heart is so jetlagged

What time is it where you are?
Five more days and I’ll be home
I keep your picture in my car
I hate the thought of you alone
I’ve been keeping busy all the time
Just to try to keep you off my mind
Try to figure out the time zones making me crazy

    You say good morning
    When it’s midnight
    Going out of my head
    Alone in this bed
I wake up to your sunset
    And it’s driving me mad
    I miss you so bad
And my heart, heart, heart is so jetlagged
Heart, heart, heart is so jetlagged
Heart, heart, heart is so jetlagged
    Is so jet lagged

I miss you so bad [x5]
    I wanna share your horizon
    I miss you so bad
    And see the same sunrising
    I miss you so bad
And turn the hour hand back to when you were holding me.

    You say good morning
    When it’s midnight
    Going out of my head
    Alone in this bed
I wake up to your sunset
    And it’s driving me mad
I miss when you say good morning
    But it’s midnight
    Going out of my head
    Alone in this bed
I wake up to your sunset
    And it’s driving me mad
    I miss you so bad
And my heart, heart, heart is so jetlagged
Heart, heart, heart is so jetlagged
Heart, heart, heart is so jetlagged
    Is so jetlagged
    Is so jetlagged

    4.Report

    What is Report ?

    Definition of Report
Report is a text which presents information about something, as it is. It is as a result of systematic observation and analysis

    Generic Structure of Report
    1. General classification: Stating classification of general aspect of thing; animal, public place, plant, etc which will be discussed in general
    2. Description: Describing the thing which will be discussed in detail; part per part , customs or deed for living creature and usage for materials
    Language Feature of Report
    • Introducing group or general aspect
    • Using conditional logical connection; when, so, etc
    • Using simple present tense

A report text can be very similar to a descriptive text. However, they can be distinguished easily from the object which is discussed. A report text commonly describes things in general while descriptive text tends to explain the characterization of a specific thing. Bellow is simple example of report text

    Example of Report:

    Human Body Energy

Human body is actually a living machine and is like all other machines. This living machine needs fuel to supply it with energy. The fuel is provided by the food which we eat. However do we know how much we need to stay healthy?
The energy value of food is usually measured in calories. A calorie is the amount of heat which is required to raise the temperature of 1 kg of water by 1 degree C. The number of calories which people need per day varies. It depends on the activity which the people are involved in. For example; people will need more calories for standing than for sitting, people need more for running than for walking, etc.
The energy which is provided by food is in the form of three kinds of chemical substances. They are carbohydrate, protein and fat. Carbohydrate provides 8.8 calories per gram (cal/gm) of energy, protein 4.0 cal/gm and fat 8.0 cal/gm. Each food contains different proportion of these substances. These three chemical substances are all important for body staying healthy

    Vanilla Twilight Lyrics

The stars lean down to kiss you

And I lie awake and miss you

Pour me a heavy dose of atmosphere

Cz I’ll doze off safe and soundly

But I’ll miss your arm araound me

I’d send a postcard to you, dear

Cz I wish you were here

I’ll watch the night turn light blue

but it’s not the same without you

because it takes two to whisper quietly

    The silence isn’t so bad

Till I look at my hands and feel sad

Cz the spaces between my fingers are right where yours fit perfectly

I’ll find repose in new ways

though I haven’t slept in two days

Cz cold nostalgia chills me to the bone

    but drenched in vanilla twilight

I’ll sit on the front porch all night

waistdeep in thought because when I think of you

    I don’t feel so alone 3x

as many times as I blink

    I’ll think of you tonight

    When violet eyes get brighter

    And heavy wings grow lighter

I’ll taste the sky and feel alive again

and I’ll forget the world that I knew

    but I swear I won’t forget you

Oh if my voice could reach back through the past

    I’d whisper in your ear,

Oh darling I wish you were here
